पानी में डाली हुई छड़ी टेढ़ी दिखती है । इसका कारण है ?
ऐसा एंगल ऑफ़ रिफ्रक्शन के कारण होता है। जब छड़ी को पानी में डालते हैं तो सघन वातावरण यानि पानी के अंदर से चल कर प्रकाश की किरण विरल माध्यम यानि हवा में प्रवेश करते समय अपनी दिशा से थोड़ा मुड़ जाती है, अतएव हमें वह टेढ़ा दिखाई पड़ता है।
