2) Solankis
The Dilwara temple complex has five temples. Two of them are dedicated to Rishabha Deva, the first Jain Tirthankara. The other three are dedicated to Neminatha (22nd Tirthankara), Parsvanatha (23rd Tirthankara) and Mahavir Swami (24th Tirthankara).
This was built in 1031 AD by Vimal Shah, a minister of Bhimdev I, the Chalukya king of Gujarat.
The oldest temple, the Adinatha or Vimala Vasahi Temple dedicated to Adinatha, the first Tirthankara (Jain saint), was founded in 1032 by Vimala, a minister under Bhima I, the Solanki ruler of Gujarat. The temples are built entirely of white marble and are known for their extraordinarily richly carved interiors.
