Viva – Voice |
Scheme of Online Preliminary Examination:
- Question paper for Online Preliminary Examination shall be 100 Marks and will consist of 100 objective-type questions.
- Each question will have four options to answer, out of which one option will be the correct answer.
- The duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
- The language of the question paper of the Online Preliminary Examination and Main written Examination will be English and Hindi.
- The final selection will be on merit on the basis of total marks obtained in the Written (Main) Examination and Viva-voce.
- The decision of the CGPSC with regard to calling the candidates for Viva-voce will be final. The maximum 15 marks are fixed for Viva-voce.
Scheme of Online Main Examination:
- The duration of the exam is 3 Hours.
- The exam is for 100 Marks.

Yes, the CGPSC Mains exam is qualifying in nature, and the ones who have qualified at this stage will be invited for the final Interview round.
Overall the paper excluding the Language paper can be answered in either English or Hindi as selected by the student. In the Essay paper, candidates have to write 2 essays, one on a National level and the other associated with the state of Chhattisgarh.
The candidates post-qualifying the preliminary and mains exam, get selected for the personal interview. The candidates are judged based on their mental alertness, clear and logical expression, critical thinking, leadership, intellectual and moral integrity, etc.
The selection for CGPSC Exam is done based on the candidates’ performance in Preliminary Exam, and Mains Exam, followed by an Interview.
