1) Devgiri
In 1306, Alauddin Khalji planned two campaigns.
1) Against Rai Karan(Gujarat)
2) against Rai Ramachandra(ruler of deogir/Devgiri)
Command of the army against Rai Ramachandra was entrusted to Malik Kafur(Alaudin’s slave)
Rai Ramachandra was surrended to Kafur. One of his daughters was married to Alauddin and he was given the title of “Rai Rayan”.
The southern expedition of Alauddin was a major success and he collected huge booty from there.
