Gandhi published Hind Swaraj, or Indian Home Rule.
The book was declared a seditious text by the British government in India in 1910.
While traveling from London to South Africa by ship he wrote this book in Gujarati, his native language.
It was his only book that he wrote in Gujarati and translated himself.
