The Correct answer is Harshacharita
Harshacharita, a biography of King Harsha, written by Banabhatta, indicates that Brihadratha, the last Mauryan emperor, was assassinated by Pushyamitra, the founder of the Shunga dynasty, in 185 BCE. The Puranas also mention this event, but they give a different account of the assassination. The Gargi Samhita does not mention this event. However, the Harshacharita is considered a reliable source as it was written during the Gupta period, which was after the events it describes, and Banabhatta was a courtier of King Harsha.
